The children I work with have experienced a traumatic event or have a complex trauma history. They may be experiencing symptoms of post traumatic stress disorder. This might include; nightmares, flashbacks, intrusive thoughts, irritability or anxiety.

These children need a safe space to work through their experiences. They also need to learn relaxation and cognitive coping techniques. They want to reduce their symptoms and to feel happy and hopeful.

I work with the child, and a supportive caregiver, to decrease trauma symptoms and find ways to cope with their trauma symptoms. We work together to learn about different types of trauma, relaxation techniques and cognitive coping skills. I facilitate the relationship between the child and the caregiver and help the child feel supported and understood.

If your child has experienced something difficult, please reach out to me for help. I am a passionate social worker dedicated to helping families heal. I love helping children build hope for their future.
