Our Philosophy

LaHue Counseling Services was started by Joyce LaHue and her son, Robert Peacock in 2018.  Their mission is to treat trauma across the lifespan using evidenced based practices such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Mindfulness, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

Though the members of our team come from diverse backgrounds, clinical expertise, and experience, they share the common value of providing client-centered care.  Over the past few years LaHue Counseling Services has expanded to include EMDR consultation for certification through EMDRIA.

My overall goal is to instill hope and health in individuals and families. The community eventually benefits by instilling hope and health in individuals and families. As a result, our societies have become healthier and better places for all of us.

My therapy style is engaging, personable, and raw, and I believe there isn't a power control in therapy. Rather, we are team players striving to meet the same goal. I am here to support you, to empower and encourage you.

I love working with children, adolescents and adults who know a better life is possible, but lack the tools, self-esteem and/or support needed to overcome old patterns and create a new way of being.
